Autumn Leaves Run
Sun 20th Oct 2013
organised by Tayside Scotland

Car Count : 8
[ show pre-run info ]

Hi,4 cars met at Tesco's for our annual "Autumn Leaves Run" on a dreich but dry day.Once met and introduce our new members Mel & Larry to those there we were off up to Coupar Angus to the Red House Hotel where we met 3 old member's ( well maybe not so old !! LOL !!)
Again introduction were made and then we were off , heading north via Blaigowrie,Bridge of Cally, Spittal of Glenshee and onto Cairnwell Pass where we stopped for a cuppa.
In the car park when we arrived were 3 works Mini Cooper "S" car which sparked off all our good memories of "I had a mini stories"
The weather was very kind to us and we had a mixed day, first a bit of sun, then some true scotch mist, finally due to Joan's praying some sunshine !
Gavin then led us via hill and glen and again through some wonderfull shades of brown and green fro all the tree's and bushes that make this Autumn run so good especially when you get the weather to go with it.
All too soon we arrived at the "Boat Inn" for our lunch where our hostd had a table all ready for us.
As I had "Taken order's " previously and advised them what all were having there was only a very short wait until food was in front of us !!
Everyone enjoyed the meal and the was more than one cleared plate, must recommend the food and the staff and we will be back again.
After lunch Eddie took the lead taking back via the Cairn o Mount where he and Joan parted company, then we haded south where en route various members left and headed home leaving 3 cars to heading back to Dundee .
All in all a very good day out Jen and  hope that we have many more of the same next year too.

Thanks for the lovely run today Tom and Jen. Good to see everyone and what a lovely lunch. Got a feelin' there's something wrong with Tom's break light, cause we didn't see them come on for the whole trip! Hopefully the winter won't be too long and we can all get together again soon.

Hi Peter, checked my brake lights, all ok !! Maybe just cause I am old school driver, look ahead, observe, use correct  gears,
Also helps that I know the roads that we were on too !!
