The Aroma Café and The Perfume Studio IV22 2JL

Located on the shores of Loch Ewe, the Perfume Studio sells fragrances, toiletries and soaps that are designed and made on the premises. They also run photography clinics in their onsite studio and excursions to draw inspiration from the surrounding scenery. The bright and airy Aroma Cafe boasts spectacular views across Loch Ewe towards the Torridon mountains, serving a selection of hot and cold food, homemade cakes and ice-creams throughout the day. In clement weather you can take your lunch outside and watch for otters in the loch, but on colder days it might be preferable to pick from the impressive selection of teas and curl up by the log-burning stove.
Depart say 13:15

Russian Arctic Convoy Exhibition

This archive is part of the Russian Arctic Convoy Project, which aims to create a multi-site museum around the shores of Loch Ewe dedicated to the Arctic Convoys. We have an Exhibition in Aultbea that is open every May to October where our extensive collection of convoy artefacts, pictures, photos, models and more are on display. You can find out more about our project here. “Convoys Remembered” is an online archive of stories contributed by veterans of the Arctic convoys and their relatives. Here you will find memories of the Allied effort to deliver vital supplies to Russia during the Second World War. The conditions were brutal and the route was perilous. The convoy vessels faced threats from enemy warships, submarines, and aircraft, not to mention the Arctic conditions and rough seas. On this site you can explore this episode of the war as told by those who were there.
Admission charge.  I couldn’t get prices from them, but I would imagine an entry fee of approx. £7 - £10.  This is run by volunteers and ex servicemen.
Depart say 14:30 for run back to Dingwall, via Gruinard and Dundonnel.  Some excellent paces to stop for photos for the Christmas competition.
Arrive Dingwall Approx 16:00.

At the risk of tempting fate, I'll say I'm going on this run...but then again, I said I was going to the karting...and that didn't turn out too well
