Walk the Balmoral Cairns
Sun 20th Aug 2017 university of florida essay organised by Grampian Scotland
 Meeting Point : Tesco Westhill
 Departure Time : 09:30:

The August run will start at Tesco Westhill at 09:30 sharp and meander west to Crathie car park near Balmoral where we will park the cars before going for a SMALL walk of about 5km/3ml around a few of the Balmoral cairns which were erected to celebrate the marriages of Queen Victoria’s children.

Strong trainers will be sufficient for the walk which is mainly on decent tracks and paths. Waterproofs always recommended!

Lunch will potentially be at the Loch Kinord Hotel at Dinnet.

Organised be Malcolm L

At the moment, the forecast is looking good for Sunday.  The run should take c.90 mins so we should be walking by c.1115 so we should miss the rain due mid-afternoon.

Forecast still lookin ok for Sunday.  I would like to start 0930 sharp from Tesco Westhill.  The Run is about 55 mls and the walk is c.3mls or about 1 1/2 hrs.  I have phoned Loch Kinord Hotel and they serve  lunch till 2pm or a little later if they are busy.  I think we should make it!  Note Milltimber bridge and Park Bridge are both closed this weekend.
