tyre pressures

just wondering what tyre pressure you guys favour.

the Mazda recommendation is 29psi for my sport graphite.

I've got them at 30psi at the moment, handles well, but does feel a bit too hard, and maybe a bit noisy ?

I wouldn't have thought 1psi would have made that much of a difference, but seems to be very sensitive re pressure ?

The tyres you use have a lot to do with perceived N.V.H. I cannot see one PSI making a marked difference, but tyres, depending on ambient temperatures and..let's say "spirited" usage, can go up by 3/4 PSI in the process. Also, tyres tend to get noisier as they scrub tread..there is less depth "cushioning" so to speak, but that is marginal.
My Federals on the Mk1 run as book, but are noisier than the old default Toyo...but I get twice the miles out them for no loss of mechanical grip.
As you know, 29PSI is "book" for yours.
There is always an imbecile you never bargained for. Usually in a Tescon carpark with a dented Zafira minus hubcaps

Bridgestones with just over 9000mls.

I've dropped them to 29psi and will see difference on my next trip.

dropping them back to 29psi has made a very noticeable difference.

handling not as skittish, a bit softer rather crashing, I think a bit quieter.

amazing what 1psi makes!!
