Phone (01224) 732820 and ask for George. Tell hm Findlay sent you ;)

Appearances can be deceptive. He works out of a low-rent shed at the top of Brighton Place (opposite Culter Car Centre) with his colleague John (rally driver). They'll do servicing and bodywork plus MoT prep. I don't trust anyone else with my car (well, not for the money!).

He's just totally resprayed his son's Audi S2 in pearl white and did a top-notch job. Very popular with Triumph owners (for rust repairs) and popular with me because they'll do and build anything (he has a Merc estate with a perkins diesel engine running Range Rover axles & suspension - he built that himself)

Thought the cost-concious amongst you might care to know :)
Long term MX5-less I miss my 5...

I've used George in the past when I had a Merc estate - was very reasonable (not vat registered!) and would repair where he could rather than replace. Problem is he is pretty busy and it may take some time before he could take your car - but I heartily endorse Findlay's recommendation.

Another thumbs-up for another job well done.

Amongst other things (clutch, timing belt, etc) George just repaired and painted my sills. I'm hugely impressed with the results.
